Kayla Shain
Jennies Soccer (2009-12)
Kayla Shain helped usher in a new era of dominance that was Central Missouri Soccer. Starting in 2010 with Shain as a sophomore, the Jennies started on a run of eight-straight MIAA Championships and have made the NCAA Postseason each of those years. She helped bring the Jennies to the NCAA Sweet 16 in 2010 and 2012, their first appearance in that round in team history. Shain graduated as the UCM all-time leader in assists with 25, and her 11 in 2011 were also the most for a single-season at that time. She was a four-time All-MIAA selection including the 2012 MIAA Player of the Year. For her work in the classroom, Shain was a CoSIDA Academic All-American, two-time Academic All-District, and four-time MIAA Academic Excellence Award winner. She was also UCM's Dr. Peggy Martin Award winner and the MIAA Ken B. Jones Award winner.
