2005 Mules Baseball Team
The 2005 Mules baseball team went an amazing 57-9, tying a school record for wins. The Mules were MIAA Champions, MIAA Tournament Champions, and Central Region Champions. They finished third at the NCAA-II World Series, and led the nation with a .864 win percentage. They also broke the NCAA-II record with 16 shutouts. The team was led by National Pitcher and Player of the Year Danny Powers, and National Position Player of the year Shawn Callahan. Those two, along with Will Bradley, Nick Webber, Josh Outman and Jason Schutt were named All-Americans. The team also had six players picked in the Major League Draft following the season, including five pitchers selected in the top 11 rounds, more than any NCAA Division I school that season.
