Clarence Cassing
Cassing, who graduated from Central Missouri State in 1951, also has a distinguished record of service to the university.  He has served as president of the CMSU Alumni Association twice (1978 and 1993).  He has been a longtime member of the CMSU Mule Train and President’s Society.  An original member of the Hall of Fame selection committee, he has represented the decade of the 1950s.  As a student-athlete for the Mules, Cassing was a member of the Mules’ basketball team in 1945-46 and from 1947-51.  He was a member of the 1951 Mules’ team that was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1998.  Currently residing in Raytown, Cassing has been in the sporting goods business for 48 years and continues to serve as a goodwill ambassador for Central Missouri State in his many contacts with schools throughout the area.
