Charlie Gray
Track & Field / Cross Country – 1973-76

As a junior in 1975, Charlie Gray became the Mules track & field teams second individual national champion, as he won the NCAA Division II steeplechase championship to earn All-America honors. He repeated as an All-American in the steeplechase in 1976. In fact, he still has the second-best time in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in school history with an effort of eight minutes, 56.44 seconds. Gray got his collegiate career off to a spectacular start, as he placed third in the steeplechase at the MIAA Championships and set the school record in the event his freshman year in 1973, thus setting the stage for his future accomplishments.
