Curry was named a First Team All-American and was the NCAA Division II Defensive Player of the Year as a second baseman for the Mules in 2000. He still ranks among Central Missouri's all-time leaders in batting average (tied for 10th at .388), hits (seventh with 249), doubles (tied for fourth with 59), triples (tied for fifth with 15) and assists (fourth with 472). In addition to being an All-American, he was also a First Team All-MIAA honoree in 2000 and was a second team all-conference selection in 1999.
