The 2013-14 Mules won the second NCAA Division II National Championship in program history. The Mules won their third consecutive MIAA Regular Season Championship and then went on the road to win three games in the Central Regional in Mankato, Minnesota to qualify for their third trip to the Final Four under Kim Anderson. Entering the Elite Eight ranked 20th in the country, the Mules beat fourth-ranked Southern Connecticut State 98-88, No. 1 Metro State 71-69 and seventh-ranked West Liberty 84-77 en route to the title.
