Biography

As a junior: Williams earned All-American status in his first season with the Mules with a fifth place finish at the NCAA Division II National Championships at 174 pounds, and was also a MIAA champion at 174 pounds.

Williams went 28-14 during the 2014-15 season, including a 9-5 record in duals. Some of his other highlights during the season included finishing fourth at the Super Region III Championships, a first-place finish at the Jimmy May-Hem Open and receiving the outstanding wrestler award, and defeating No. 8 Clayton Jennison of St. Cloud State in their duel. His fastest pin in the 2014-15 season was 0:58, while his .667 winning percentage was third-best for the Mules last season, and his 73.5 points and 10 pins during the season were both second-best for the team.

Before Central Missouri: Williams qualified for Nationals twice, and was an 
All-American once at Lincoln Community College.

In high school: Williams lettered all four years at Centennia High School. He qualified for state twice, placing third once. He was also a Greco runner-up. Williams also lettered in football three times.

Personal: Majoring in psychology ... Son of Archie Williams and Fannie Griggs.
