- The No. 5-ranked Central Missouri Jennies soccer team (12-1-1, 6-1 MIAA) is scheduled to travel to Kearney, Neb., and Hays, Kan., for a pair of MIAA road matches Friday, Oct. 14, and Sunday, Oct. 16. UCM is scheduled to face Nebraska Kearney (0-11-3, 0-5-2 MIAA) Friday at 1 p.m. in Kearney before taking on No. 23 Fort Hays State (8-0-6, 3-0-4 MIAA) in Hays at 2 p.m. Sunday.
- The Jennies split a pair of conference contests last weekend at home, dropping their first contest of the season, 3-1, to Emporia State Friday, Oct. 7, before shutting out Washburn, 2-0, on Senior Day Sunday, Oct. 9.
- UCM dropped two spots to No. 5 in the most recent United Soccer Coaches' Division II Coaches' Poll released Tuesday.
- Through 14 matches, Julia Kristensen leads the Jennies with nine goals, including five game-winning goals, and four assists for 22 points. She has placed 14 of her 34 shots on goal for a .412 shots on goal percentage. Caroline Cole has seven goals and five assists for 19 points while Madilyn Hamline has six goals and four assists for 16 points. Ashleigh Martin, Lindsay Edmonds, Alexis Christopherson and Anna Lack each have two goals on the season. Nine different Jennies have scored one goal through 14 contests in 2022.
- With 14 matches in the books, Kristensen is second in the MIAA in goals scored and leads the conference in game-winning goals while Cole is fourth and Hamline is tied for fifth in goals. In the MIAA assists rankings, Cole is third and Kristensen and Hamline are tied for sixth. Kristensen ranks third in total points, while Cole is fifth and Hamline is tied for sixth. In the latest NCAA-II national statistics, Kristensen is fourth in all of NCAA-II with her five game-winning goals so far this season.
- In goal for UCM, sophomore Sydney Beck is 12-1-1 with 37 saves, four shutouts and 13 goals-allowed for a 1.07 goals-against average (GAA) in 1185:53. She's currently sixth in the MIAA in GAA.
- The Jennies lead the MIAA through 14 matches in goals (39), assists (25) and points (103), and are eight in total goals and total points, and 14th in total assists in the most recent NCAA-II national rankings.
- Central Missouri is the preseason favorite in the MIAA Preseason Coaches' Poll.

- Dating back to the 2016 season, the Jennies are 67-4-1 at the South Recreation Complex. During that span, UCM has surrendered just 52 goals.
- All-time at the South Recreation Complex, UCM is 207-35-9 under head coach Lewis Theobald and 144-14-8 in overall program history. The Jennies have compiled undefeated home records five times.
Series History
- Nebraska Kearney: Friday's match at Nebraska Kearney will mark the 11th meeting in the all-time series going back to the first encounter in 2011. The Jennies lead the series, 9-0-1, including a 4-0-1 mark in Kearney, Neb. Last season, Central Missouri posted a 4-1 win over the Lopers in Warrensburg.
- Fort Hays State: Sunday's tussle at No. 23 Fort Hays State will be the 15th meeting all-time going back to meeting number one in 2011. Central Missouri leads the series, 12-2-0, and are 4-1-0 against the Tigers in Hays, Kan. UCM defeated Fort Hays State twice last season, downing the Tigers in the regular season in Warrensburg, 4-2, before earning a 3-2 overtime triumph in the first round of the MIAA tournament.

Head Coach Lewis Theobald
Central Missouri women's soccer head coach
Lewis Theobald, now in his 15th year, has transformed the Jennies Soccer program into one of the premier programs not only in the MIAA, but in all of NCAA Division II.
The 10-time MIAA and five-time region Coach of the Year has an impressive 268-40-22 record. He recorded more wins in his first three seasons than any other coach in school history and is the all-time winningest coach in Jennies soccer history. He brought home the program's first ever National Championship in the 2017 season.
Theobald enters the 2022 season as the winningest active coach in Division II women's soccer with an .843 winning percentage, among coaches with at least five years on the sidelines. He also is the all-time D-II leader among coaches with at least 10 years and is sixth all-time in all NCAA Divisions.
During his tenure, Theobald has coached 19 All-Americans and 119 All-MIAA honorees.
A 1999 graduate of the University of Kansas, Theobald received his bachelor's degree in education with a concentration in physical education.
