KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Central Missouri Jennies soccer student-athletes Kloee Grubb and Sydney Beck were voted MIAA Women's Soccer Athletes of the Week for their performances on the pitch during the week of Sept. 26 through Oct. 2, the conference office announced Tuesday, Oct. 4.

Grubb was tabbed the MIAA Defender of the Week while Beck earned MIAA Goalkeeper of the Week accolades. It's the first-career weekly honors for both student-athletes.

A redshirt freshman defender from Odessa, Mo., Grubb dished out an assist on Julia Kristensen's game-winning goal in the 20th minute in the Jennies' 3-0 shutout victory at Rogers State Friday, Sept. 30, before playing the full 90 minutes in Central Missouri's 2-1 triumph at Northeastern State Sunday, Oct. 2.

Beck, a sophomore goalkeeper from Overland Park, Kan., collected her third shutout of the season in UCM's 3-0 victory at Rogers State, making four saves and surrendering no goals in 90 minutes. In the 2-1 win at Northeastern State, Beck again made four saves, including two crucial saves in the final eight minutes of the match that preserved the Jennies' 2-1 lead and eventual victory.

Third-ranked Central Missouri is scheduled to host Emporia State Friday, Oct. 7, at 7 p.m. in Warrensburg before welcoming Washburn to the South Recreation Complex for Senior Day Sunday, Oct. 9, at 1 p.m.
