KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Central Missouri Jennies soccer redshirt sophomore forward
Caroline Cole was voted the MIAA Women's Soccer Offensive Athlete of the Week for her performance on the pitch during the week of Sept. 5-11, the conference office announced Tuesday, Sept. 13.
It's Cole's second Offensive Athlete of the Week accolade of the season.
Cole, who hails from Columbia, Mo., helped the now No. 6-ranked Jennies go 2-0 on the week with an 8-2 victory in Warrensburg Friday, Sept. 9, vs. Missouri Southern and a 1-0, shutout win at Northwest Missouri Sunday, Sept. 11, in Maryville, Mo., scoring one goal and dishing out three assists for five points on the week.
In the 8-2 win against the Lions, she dished out assists on goals from
Julia Kristensen and
Anna Lack before netting a goal of her own off a
Madilyn Hamline assist in the 50th minute. Cole capped the week with the game-winning assist on
Kloee Grubb's game-winner in the 83rd minute in the 1-0 shutout victory at Northwest Missouri Sunday.
Central Missouri is scheduled to host Missouri Western at the South Recreation Complex in a home, non-conference match Friday, Sept. 16, at 7 p.m. before entertaining Northwest Missouri in Warrensburg for the MIAA opener Sunday, Sept. 18, at 1 p.m.
