SERIES HISTORY VS MISSOURI WESTERN
• This will be the 57th all-time meeting between Central Missouri and Missouri Western. The Mules hold a slim 29-27 lead in the series.
• The Mules won the only meeting between the two schools last season, 72-60 in Warrensburg, and have won three straight and nine of the last 12.
• Central Missouri leads the series 17-7 in games played in Warrensburg, including the last two.
• UCM is 18-6 against Missouri Western under Kim Anderson, including an 11-1 mark at the Multi. The lone loss was a 95-91 overtime defeat back on Feb. 23, 2011.
• This will be the first meeting between the two schools under new MWSU head coach Brett Weiberg.
LAST MEETING WITH MISSOURI WESTERN
• The Mules used a 19-3 run early in the first half to overcome an early 4-0 deficit and grab the lead for good. UCM went on to beat the Griffons 72-60 on Jan. 23, 2013 to run their win streak at the time to seven games.
• UCM shot 49 percent from the field, including 58 percent in the second half. The Mules shot 40 percent, 8 of 20, from three-point range and had 13 assists.
• Missouri Western shot 40 percent from the field, but were just 4 of 21 from beyond the arc for 19 percent.

• Cedric Clinkscales led the Griffons with a game-high 21 points, while Adarius Fulton had 17.
• The Mules out-rebounded the Griffons 37-33, but MWSU held a 30-20 advantage in points in the paint and 17-11 in points off turnovers.
• The win was the third straight for UCM in the series.
SCOUTING THE GRIFFONS
• Missouri Western enters the week at 7-8 overall and 2-5 in MIAA play after going 1-2 in conference play last week.
• The Griffons beat Nebraska-Kearney 89-82 on Monday then dropped back-to-back games at Emporia State (87-80) and Pittsburg State (85-82) on Wednesday and Saturday.
• MWSU is averaging 78.1 points per game offensively, while shooting 44 percent from the field. Opponents are shooting nearly 48 percent against them and average 78.5 points per contest.
• The Griffons shoot 37 percent from behind the three-point line and 70 percent at the free throw line.
• They have been out-rebounded by nearly eight boards per contest (39.1-31.3) by the opposition.
• Ryan Devers leads the team in scoring at 17.5 points per game, he is averaging 21.4 per outing during MIAA play.
• Cortez Colbert is second on the team at 13.4 points per game and Adarius Fulton chips in 10.9 per contest.
• The Griffons turn the ball over just nine times per game, but force 13.3 per outing.

EMPORIA, Kan. -- The 24th-ranked Central Missouri Mules had their three-game winning streak snapped with a 95-77 loss to Emporia State on Saturday night at White Auditorium.
   The Mules (13-3, 5-2 MIAA) struggled offensively early on as the Hornets (11-6, 4-3 MIAA) built an early 10-point lead. The Mules battled back to within three at 24-21 with 7:04 left in the first half, but the Hornets answered with a 9-2 run to push the lead back to 10 at 33-23 with 5:23 left in the opening period.

Charles Hammork's jumper with just under five minutes to play seemed to ignite the Mules and they ended the half on a 16-7 run to pull within 40-39 at halftime.
   The Mules took their first lead of the game early in the second half on a
Dillon Deck layup, but the Hornets came right back to grab the lead on the next possession. The Mules took their final lead of the night, 43-42, on another Deck layup. ESU went on a 14-7 spurt to regain a six point lead, 56-50, with 13:09 on the clock.
   The Mules got back to within four at 61-57, but a 15-6 spurt gave ESU a 76-63 lead with 5:33 left in the game. UCM would get no closer than 11 the rest of the way as the Hornets captured the win.
   Deck led three Mules in double figures with 19 points.
Daylen Robinson had 17 points, while Hammork chipped in 16.
   UCM was 29 of 62 from the field for 47 percent, including 6 of 17 from three point range for 35 percent. The Mules were just 13 of 22 at the foul line for 59 percent.
   Emporia State shot 56 percent from the field, 32 of 57, including 10 of 20 three-pointers for 50 percent. The Hornets made 21 of 28 at the charity stripe for 75 percent.
   ESU was led in scoring by Kaleb Wright's 33 points and 15 rebounds. Terrence Moore finished ith 19 and Gavin Brown chipped in 12.
THE MULES IN MIAA PLAY
• Central Missouri is 148-65 in MIAA play during the Kim Anderson era and 5-2 this season after a 95-77 setback at Emporia State on Saturday night.
• The Mules were 13-5 in conference play last year and won a share of the MIAA regular season title.
• The Mules' best MIAA record under Anderson was an 18-2 mark during the 2009-10 season.
