Before UCM: Played for head coach Kevin Thomas at State Fair Community College where he averaged 15 points and five rebounds per game ... as a freshman he put up eight points and five boards per contest.

In High School: Was a two time all-state, all-district, and all-conference selection at Lee’s Summit Christian Academy ... averaged 24 points and 11 rebounds with four blocks per game as a senior when he was voted the second best power forward in the state, the all-state team MVP, his team’s captain and was a McDonald’s All-American nominee ... averaged 21.4 points, 12 rebounds and three blocks per game as a junior, while leading his team to the state quarterfinals.
