Lazerek Houston has been named a D2CCA (Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association) Second Team All-American, announced on Tuesday, March 24.
Houston, the 2025-26 D2CCA (Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association) All-Central Region Player of the Year, NABC (National Association of Basketball Coaches) All-Central Region First Team selection, MIAA Player of the Year, and MIAA Freshman of the Year, ranked in the top-10 nationally in field goals made (252) and points scored (706).
Houston had two ESPN SportsCenter Top 10 plays during the regular season, leading the team with five double-double performances, while scoring double-figures in 33 of the team's 34 contests, including 16 games with 20 or more and seven outings with 30 points or more.
Lazerek becomes the 11
th player in program history to be named an All-American, and the first since Sanijay Watts during the 2009-10 season, averaging 20.8 points, 5.1 assists, and four rebounds per game, helping the Mules make their first NCAA-II Tournament appearance since the 2014-15 season, advancing to the NCAA-II Central Region Semifinals.
