WARRENSBURG, Mo. – Central Missouri Mules basketball freshman guard Lazerek Houston has been named a D2CCA (Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association) Second Team All-American, announced on Tuesday, March 24.
 
Houston, the 2025-26 D2CCA (Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association) All-Central Region Player of the Year, NABC (National Association of Basketball Coaches) All-Central Region First Team selection, MIAA Player of the Year, and MIAA Freshman of the Year, ranked in the top-10 nationally in field goals made (252) and points scored (706).
 
Houston had two ESPN SportsCenter Top 10 plays during the regular season, leading the team with five double-double performances, while scoring double-figures in 33 of the team's 34 contests, including 16 games with 20 or more and seven outings with 30 points or more.

 
Lazerek becomes the 11^th player in program history to be named an All-American, and the first since Sanijay Watts during the 2009-10 season, averaging 20.8 points, 5.1 assists, and four rebounds per game, helping the Mules make their first NCAA-II Tournament appearance since the 2014-15 season, advancing to the NCAA-II Central Region Semifinals.
