As Redshirt Junior: Appeared in 19 games in 2017, making 17 starts at catcher ... hit .367 for the season with eight doubles, four home runs, and 16 RBI ... scored 15 runs and stole two bases ... recorded four straight multi-hit games late in the season ... Threw out six of 14 would-be base-stealers behind the plate ... Crushed right-handed pitching to the tune of a .421 batting average ... Batted .381 with runners on base and nine of his 16 RBI came with two outs, as he hit .417 in those situations ... In a win against Southwest Baptist, Fairchild went 3-4 with a home run, two doubles, three runs scored and six RBI (April 18) ... Named an All-MIAA Honorable Mention at Catcher. 

As a Redshirt Sophomore: Appeared in five games during the 2016 season, hitting .286 with one home run and two RBIs in seven at-bats ... recorded first two career hits in a win over Lincoln (April 3), going 2-for-3 with a home run and two runs driven in.

As a Sophomore: Did not appear in any games in 2015 after transferring to UCM from Johnson County Community College.

Before UCM: Hit .239 with a pair of doubles and a pair of home runs and 18 RBI in 43 games last year at Johnson County Community College ... helped JCCC and head coach Kent Shelley to conference and regional championships and a trip to the Junior College World Series ... played in the Jayhawk Conference All-Star Game ... earned the Cavalier Award for male athletes at JCCC.

In high school: Was an all-conference utility player and a three-time letterwinner for head coach Jay Meyer at Lee’s Summit West High School ... helped his team to conference and district championships as a senior ... also part of 2010 football state championship team ... an honor roll member.
