Before UCM: Sparks played two seasons at Southeast Community College under head coach Dion Sparks ... he helped his team to a Region 9 Runner-Up finish in 2016 ... helped his team win a Region 9 and North Plains Region Championship in 2017 ... also helped his team make the 2017 Division II Junior College Word Series.

In high school: Was a two year varsity letterwinner at Papillion-LaVista High School ... made the state tournament in 2015 ... also made the 2015 Legion State Tournament.
