As a Redshirt Junior: Led the Mules in wins with an 8-1 record on his way to an All-MIAA Honorable Mention award … Also led UCM with a 3.96 ERA, 60 strikeouts and a .248 opponents’ batting average … Started 11 games and made 14 total appearances on the mound … In 72.2 innings, gave up 70 hits and 21 walks … Did a good job of limiting extra-base hits, allowing 19 among 70 hits with just two home runs allowed … Led UCM averaging 5.19 innings per appearance … Tossed three complete games including a nine-inning, seven-strikeout performance in the Mules NCAA Regional Championship opening game against Oklahoma Baptist (May 17) … Struck out seven batters in each of his final two starts … Threw nine innings allowing five hits and no walks with one run and six strikeouts vs. Emporia State (April 20) … Named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll.

As a Junior: Redshirted the 2017 season and did not appear in any games ... named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll for his work in the classroom.

Before UCM: Went 4-5 with a 6.21 ERA and one save in 23 total appearances and 14 starts over two years at Southwest Baptist ... struck out 44 batters in 79.2 innings pitched.

In high school: Was a Second Team All-Conference selection at O'Fallon Christian High School, playing for head coach Jarret Reardon ... helped his team to District Championships in 2012 and 2013 and a State Runner-Up finish in 2014.

Personal: Son of Charles and Linda Lucas ... majoring in Psychology.
