• MIAA Academic Honor Roll (2019, 20)

As a Redshirt Junior: Took over as the Mules closer to start the season and was dominant in that role ... Did not allow a run in seven appearances and 8.1 innings winning two games and earning three saves ... Gave up just three hits while striking out 11 without walking a batter for a WHIP of 0.60 ... Struck out almost 12 batters per nine innings ... Started the year with a two-inning scoreless appearance against Colorado-Mines (Feb. 2) striking out two to earn the win ... Fanned two or more batters in four of his seven appearances with at least one strikeout in all seven ... Did not allow a hit all season with a runner on base ... Was named to the MIAA Academic Honor Roll for the second straight season. 

As a Junior: Made 16 relief appearances for the Mules ... Proved one of the Mules more reliable relievers with a 3-0 record and a 2.66 ERA ... Six times threw two or more innings out of the bullpen ... Struck out 21 batters and held opposing hitters to a .214 batting average in 20.1 innings ... Held lefties to just a .167 batting average giving up three hits in 18 at bats ... Two of his three wins came in the MIAA Tournament where he threw 1.1 hitless innings across two appearances ... Allowed just one hit and no runs in 3.1 postseason innings ... Made the MIAA Academic Honor Roll for his work in the classroom.

As a Sophomore: Made nine appearances, all out of the bullpen … Totaled 11 innings on the mound and pitched to a 3.27 ERA … Struck out 15 batters with a 12.27 strikeout/nine ratio, second-best on UCM … Held right-handed hitters to just a .194 batting average … Pitched a career-high three innings in his final game of the year, striking out five in the Mules 15-0 win in the NCAA Regional against St. Cloud State (May 18) … Started his Mules career with four straight scoreless appearances.

Before UCM:  Redshirted in 2016 at Crowder College ... did not appear in any games for the Roughriders during the 2017 season.

In High School: Played for head coach Gary Renshaw at Raymore-Peculiar High School ... Was named to both the All-Conference and All-District teams his junior and senior seasons.

Personal: Son of Edwin and Eileen Rathburn ... Majoring in Health Studies.
