Chase Wilcox earned ABCA (American Baseball Coaches Association) Division II Central Region All-Defensive Team honors, announced by the ABCA on Thursday, June 18.
A native of Warrensburg, Mo., Kreisel was a Second Team All-MIAA selection at shortstop finishing the season top-five in numerous offensive categories, including the second-most hit by pitches in the country with 32, a team-leading five homers, 80 total bases, 59 runs scored, 11 doubles, 26 walks drawn, and 21 stolen bases.
The sophomore recorded 18 multi-hit ballgames in 2026, highlighted by an eight-game hitting streak, while sporting a .981 fielding percentage, committing three errors on 158 chances and turning 19 double plays for good measure.
A native of Kansas City, Mo., Wilcox received Third Team All-MIAA honors at first base, while leading the Mules offensively with 68 hits, five round trippers, and 40 walks drawn. The senior also ranked in the top-five for Central Missouri in batting average (.358), total bases (94), RBI (47), runs scored (45), stolen bases (21), and slugging percentage (.495).
Chase's .995 fielding percentage paced the Mules defensively, committing just two errors in 382 total chances, while completing 33 double plays for good measure.
The teams are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association, and the process is led by the
ABCA NCAA Div. II All-America & Coach of the Year Committee.
