GREENSBORO, N.C.  – University of Central Missouri Mules Baseball earned the American Baseball Coaches' Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence Award for their success in the classroom during the 2025-26 academic year, the organization announced Wednesday, July 22.

UCM was one of six MIAA baseball programs to earn the honor, along with Emporia State, Fort Hays State, Missouri Southern, Rogers State, and Washburn, which also received Team Academic Excellence Award recognition. 

The ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award is given annually to honor high school and college teams that posted a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale during the academic year. This year, over 320 high school programs and nearly 500 collegiate programs were recognized with the award.

The Mules posted an overall record of 40-17 and captured the NCAA Division II Central Region Championships in 2026, its 22nd regional title in program history.
