PITTSBURG, Kan. – Chika Bekwunye set a new school record in the women's 100m hurdles, highlighting the action for University of Central Missouri Track & Field at the Pittsburg State Almost Last Chance Invite on Saturday, May 9, at the Russ Jewett Outdoor Track & Field Complex.
Sprints/Hurdles
- Bekwunye posted a provisional, personal best, and school record time of 13.63 in the women's 100m hurdles, placing second. Her time bested former Jennies Track & Field standout Lindsay Lettow's 13.69, set back in 2012.
- Parker Wormek posted a provisional time of 13.99 in the men's 110m hurdles, finishing second.
- Yunus Altinay had a provisional and personal best time of 51.98 in the men's 400m hurdles to place third. His time ranks fifth-fastest in school history.
The Mules and Jennies will find out who qualified for the 2026 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Tuesday, May 12, on NCAA.com. The 2026 championships are slated for May 21-23 in Emporia, Kan.
