INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The University of Central Missouri Mules Baseball Team remained No. 3 in the third NCAA Division II Central Regional Rankings released on Wednesday, May 6, by the NCAA.
The Mules are one of six MIAA baseball programs that appear in the most recent rankings. Pittsburg State (No. 1), Rogers State (No. 2), Northwest Missouri State (No. 4), Missouri Southern (No. 5), and Emporia State (No. 9) are also in the rankings.
The Central Region comprises teams from the MIAA, the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC), and the Great American Conference (GAC).
Minnesota State (No. 5), UMary (No. 7), and Augustana [S.D.] (No. 8) represent the NSIC, while Arkansas Tech (No. 10) is the lone GAC program in the rankings.
The top eight teams listed in the final rankings released on Sunday, May 10, during the NCAA Division II Baseball Selection Show on NCAA.com at 9 p.m. CT will earn a berth to the 2026 NCAA-II Baseball Central Regional Tournament.
Mules Baseball is set to take on Northwest Missouri State in the MIAA Tournament Quarterfinals on Thursday morning, May 7, at 10 a.m. in Edmond, Okla., at Wendell Simmons Field.
