KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Central Missouri Jennies softball senior pitcher
Andi Siebeneck has been named the MIAA Softball Pitcher of the Week, announced by the conference office on Monday, April 27, for her efforts this past week in the circle.
Siebeneck, a native of Jefferson City, Mo., helped the Jens to a 4-0 record last week with doubleheader sweeps over Missouri-St. Louis (Tuesday, April 21) and Nebraska-Kearney (Saturday, April 25).
Andi appeared in three of the four games this past week, earning the save in game one's 7-5 victory over the Tritons with a shut-out seventh inning, before earning the victory in game two of the doubleheader, allowing two runs in 6 1/3 innings pitched in St. Louis.
Siebeneck rounded out the week with her fifth complete-game performance of the season in game two's 2-0 victory over Nebraska-Kearney during Senior Day, allowing just three hits while striking out a career-high seven Loper batters for good measure.
So far this season, Andi leads the pitching staff with a 13-4 record, with a 2.64 ERA, striking out 45 batters in 95 1/3 innings of work.
The Jennies (33-15, 14-8 MIAA) wrap up the MIAA regular season hosting the Emporia State Hornets on Wednesday, April 29, with game one's first pitch slated for 1:00 p.m. in Warrensburg.
