FIRST PITCH
  • Central Missouri Jennies softball concludes the MIAA regular season hosting a pair of doubleheaders beginning on Saturday, April 25, against the Nebraska-Kearney Lopers (14-33, 3-15 MIAA), during Senior Day, with game one's first pitch slated for noon from Jennies Field at the South Recreation Complex in Warrensburg.
  • The Jens will take on the Emporia State Hornets (26-15, 12-8 MIAA) on Tuesday, April 28, with first pitch of game one scheduled for 1:00 p.m. in Warrensburg.
  • Between games one and two against the Lopers, fans can enjoy an exclusive UCM branded batting helmet filled with Cold Stone Creamery ice cream, while supplies last.
  • After the conclusion of game two on Saturday afternoon, the Jennies will honor their nine seniors, including Aly Hageman, Bailey Ast, Jadyn Sheffield, Lexi Blackmon, Taylor Kvale, Bailey Brumley, Andi Siebeneck, graduate assistant coach Taryan Barrick-Wessels, and student manager Addie Lange, for their contributions to the program.
  • For the first time since the 2021 season, Central Missouri is one of 10 teams to appear on the initial NCAA-II Central Regional Rankings, announced by the NCAA on Wednesday, April 22.
  • The Jens swept a doubleheader against the Missouri-St. Louis Tritons, winning by final scores of 7-5 and 8-2 on Tuesday, April 21, from UMSL Softball Field in St. Louis, Mo.
  • During their 10-1 (5 inn.) victory in game one against Northwest Missouri (March 28) in Maryville, Central Missouri hit four home runs in the ballgame, the most in a single game since March 19, 2024, when the Jens defeated Lincoln 8-0 (5 inn.) in Warrensburg.

 WHAT'S THE COUNT?
  • Both doubleheaders will be available on a pay-per-view basis through the MIAA Network, with coverage beginning at noon on Saturday and 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon from Jennies Field at the South Recreation Complex in Warrensburg.

CENTRAL MISSOURI AT THE PLATE

SERIES HISTORY
  • Nebraska-Kearney: Senior Day in Warrensburg will be the 35th and 36th all-time meetings between the Lopers and Central Missouri, with the Jens holding a 22-12 advantage. The Jens have won four of the last six matchups with UNK, and have a record of 11-1 in Warrensburg, following a doubleheader sweep of the Lopers during the 2023 season.
  • Emporia State: Tuesday afternoon's doubleheader against Emporia State will be the 112th and 113th all-time meetings, with the Hornets holding a 65-46 lead in the series. Over the last 10 meetings, the visiting team has swept each doubleheader, including a pair of Jennies victories in Emporia a season ago.

UCM DURING THE ANDERSON ERA
  • Susan Anderson is in her 20th season as head coach of the Jennies, where she is the second-winningest coach in program history with a record of 589-440 (.572). She became just the second coach in program history to eclipse 500 wins, doing so in game two of a double header against Fort Hays State (April 16, 2023) on Senior Day.
  • Since her return to Warrensburg in 2006, Anderson was the fastest coach to accomplish 100 wins, doing so in just three seasons while making 16 MIAA tournaments, five regional tournaments, and one Elite Eight appearance.
  • The 2015 Regional Coach of the Year has been named MIAA Coach of the Year three times in her career (twice named as head coach of the Jens) while coaching 20 first team All-MIAA selections, nine All-Region selections, two All-Americans, and one MIAA MVP.
