INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Central Missouri Jennies softball team is one of 10 teams listed in the first NCAA-II Central Regional Rankings released on Wednesday, April 22, by the NCAA. The initial rankings are listed in alphabetical order.
This is the first time the Jens have appeared in a regional poll since the 2021 season, and they are one of six teams from the MIAA that are listed in the initial rankings in 2026. Central Oklahoma, Emporia State, Missouri Southern, Northwest Missouri, Pittsburg State, and Rogers State are also listed in the first installment of rankings.
The Central Region comprises teams from the MIAA, the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC), and the Great American Conference (GAC).
St. Cloud State and Winona State are the NSIC representatives, while Southern Arkansas is the lone GAC representative.
Five teams in the Central Region are currently ranked in the top-25 according to the latest NFCA Rankings, including No. 2 Pittsburg State, No. 9 Southern Arkansas, No. 12 Missouri Southern, No. 17 Central Oklahoma, and No. 22 Winona State.
Central Missouri (31-15, 12-8 MIAA) hosts the Nebraska-Kearney Lopers on Saturday, April 25, during Senior Day, with first pitch of game one scheduled for noon, from Jennies Field at the South Recreation Complex in Warrensburg.
