INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – For the first time since the 2014-15 season, the Central Missouri Mules basketball team has received a bid to the NCAA Division II Central Regional Tournament and will take on Rogers State Saturday, March 14, at noon inside Lee Arena, on the campus of Washburn University in Topeka, Kan.

The Mules (23-9, 14-5 MIAA) received the third seed in the region, while the Hillcats (21-10, 13-6 MIAA) earned the sixth seed.

This will be the 24th appearance in program history for Central Missouri, becoming just the second school in NCAA Division II history to win 1,800 games or more earlier this season, doing so at home against Missouri Southern with a 95-69 win on Wednesday, Feb. 25, inside the Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center in Warrensburg.

Washburn (31-1, 18-1 MIAA) is the top seed and host of the regional tournament, slated for March 14-17, with first-round games on March 14, second-round contests on March 15, and the regional championship game on March 17.

Central Missouri is one of four MIAA teams in the tournament, along with the top-seeded Ichabods, No. 5 Missouri Western (21-11, 12-7Â MIAA), and No. 6 Rogers State.

No. 2 Oklahoma Baptist (27-3, 20-2 GAC) and No. 7Â Harding (24-7, 17-5 GAC) are representing the Great American Conference, while No. 4 St. Cloud State (25-6, 20-2Â NSIC) and No. 8 Minnesota-Duluth (21-11, 14-9 NSIC) are members of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference.
