KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- University of Central Missouri Jennies Track & Field's Grizell Scarlett was voted the MIAA Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week, it was announced on Tuesday, March 31, by the conference office. 

Scarlett, a junior from Kingston, Jamaica, won the women's 200m dash at the SBU Bearcat Invitational on Saturday, March 28, in Bolivar, Mo., posting a provisional, personal best, and outdoor school record time of 23.46. Her time ranks second-fastest in NCAA Division II so far this season. 

This is Scarlett's second MIAA Track Athlete of the Week honor, as she was named the Indoor Track Athlete of the Week back in February. 

Scarlett and the Mules & Jennies are scheduled to travel to Austin, Texas, to compete in the 98th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays April 1-4.
