WARRENSBURG, Mo. – University of Central Missouri Track & Field opened its 2026 Outdoor Season with numerous strong performances at the UCM Invitational on Friday, March 20, on the University of Central Missouri campus.
Sprints/Hurdles
- Ariel Kerr ran a provisional and personal best time of 10.42 to win the men's 100m dash. His time is fifth-fastest in school history. Jayson Williams was runner-up in the 100m with a personal best 10.60, and Grant Mohler was third with a personal best 10.65.
- Kye Mason, Kerr, Williams, and Riley Rolwing all finished in the top five of the men's 200m dash. Mason was second with a personal best 21.32, Kerr was third with a personal best 21.49, Williams was fourth with a personal best 21.50, and Rolwing was fifth with a personal best 21.90.
- Chika Bekwunye, Emily Meeks, and Mikayla Henry went 1-2-3 in the women's 100m dash. Bekwunye was first with a personal best 11.84 (tied for second-fastest in school history), Meeks was runner-up with a time of 11.92, and Henry was third with a personal best 12.13.
- Meeks won the women's 200m dash, while Bekwunye was second, and Anayla Waters was third. Henry also placed in the top five of the event, finishing fifth. Meeks compiled a personal best time of 24.48 (third-fastest in outdoor school history), Bekwunye posted a personal best 24.54 (fifth-fastest in outdoor school history), Waters tallied a personal best time of 25.10, and Henry ran 25.95.
- The Mules had three top-five finishers in the men's 400m dash. Mason won the event with a personal best time of 47.58, while Yunus Altinay was third with a personal best time of 48.38, and Dayton Richardson was fifth with an outdoor personal best time of 49.29. Mason's time of 47.58 is the fifth-fastest in outdoor school history.
- The Jennies had three finish in the top five of the women's 400m dash. Anayla Waters placed first with a time of 57.42, Abigail Gilliatt was fourth with an outdoor personal best time of 59.44, and Alyssa Anderson was fifth with an outdoor personal best time of 59.80.
- Jentry Acklin won the men's 110m hurdles with a time of 14.29.
- Pau Martinez was runner-up, and Marah Klover was fourth in the women's 100m hurdles. Martinez ran 14.90, and Klover posted a personal best time of 16.21.
Jumps
- The Jennies had four of the top five finishers in the women's pole vault. Haley Sexton placed first with a personal best mark of 3.73m (12-02.75), Kaira Mannio was runner-up with a mark of 3.48m (11-05.00), Sydnie Bernard was third with a mark of 3.33m (10-11.00), and Jolee Castro was fifth with a mark of 3.03m (9-11.25). Sexton's mark is fifth-best in outdoor school history.
- Landon Childs won the men's pole vault, and Karter Kueser placed third. Childs posted a mark of 4.90m (16-0.75), and Kueser cleared a mark of 4.60m (15-01.00).
- The Jennies claimed the top two spots in the women's high jump. Therese Reindl finished first with a mark of 1.58m (5-05.25), and Kwyn Hamlin was second with a mark of 1.58m (5-02.25).
- Jeremy Bennett won the men's long jump with a mark of 6.97m (22-10.50).
- Myah Morris was runner-up in the women's triple jump with a mark of 10.66m (34-11.75).
- Wyatt Irwin was second in the men's high jump with a mark of 2.00m (6-06.75).
Throws
- Landon Mason was runner-up in the men's hammer throw with a provisional and personal best mark of 60.83m (199-7). His mark ranks 10th-best in outdoor school history.
- The Jennies went first and third in the women's shot put. Briley Wishard was first with a personal best mark of 13.63m (44-08.75), while Madison Mears was third with a mark of 13.33m (43-08.75). Wishard's mark is eighth best in outdoor school history. Wishard also posted a top-three finish in the women's hammer throw, placing second with a personal best mark of 50.50m (165-08.00).
- Karsyn Kanzler finished third in the women's javelin with a mark of 44.92m (147-05.00). Ally Fox also placed in the top five in the event, finishing fifth with a mark of 43.72m (143-05.00).
- Marley Sands was third and Mears fourth in the women's discus. Sands posted a mark of 43.72m (143-05.00), and Mears had a mark of 42.79m (140-05.00).
Distance
- Sam Mathis finished second in the men's 1,500m run with a personal best time of 3:56.86. Brady Maher also finished in the top five, placing fifth with a time of 4:03.80.
- The Jennies' Yolanda Brooks and Madison Cross both finished in the top five of the women's 1,500m run. Brooks was fourth with a personal best time of 5:07.73, and Cross was fifth with a personal best of 5:09.73.
Relays
The Mules and Jennies return to action March 26-28 at the Southwest Baptist Invitational in Bolivar, Mo.
