PITTSBURG, Kan. – University of Central Missouri Jennies Track & Field's
Emily Meeks was named the Athletic Solutions "A Game" Scholar-Athlete of the 2026 MIAA Women's Indoor Track & Field Championship.
All 13 MIAA women's track and field programs are in Pittsburg, Kan., this weekend for the Association's indoor track and field championships, hosted in the Gorillas' Robert W. Plaster Center February 27-March 1. Among the hundreds of NCAA Division II student-athletes competing in the championship, Meeks was named the championship's "A Game" Scholar-Athlete.
Established by the MIAA in 2022, "A Game" Scholar-Athlete Award presented by
Athletic Solutions acknowledges the overall excellence of a student-athlete by recognizing one individual who has contributed to their team's success while also achieving the highest academic standard among peers. The student-athlete honored with the "A Game" Scholar-Athlete Award must be an active member of a qualifying team and must have a minimum of two terms completed at the institution.
Meeks is a redshirt senior from Wardsville, Mo. In the classroom, Meeks is a health studies major with a 4.0 grade-point average and 130 completed credits. On the track, she's a sprinter with the Jennies' top 400-meter time this season at 57.15. She is entered to compete in three events on the final day of the 2026 MIAA Indoor Championships: the 60-meter dash, the 200-meter dash, and she'll run the first leg of the Jennies' 4x400-meter relay.
