ST. JOSEPH, Mo. -- Central Missouri Mules Golf completed the second round of the NCAA-II Central/Midwest Regional Championship at St. Joseph CC Friday, May 9. The Mules (290) shot a team second round of 301 (+17) to sit in a tie for tenth with a 36-hole total of 591 (+23). Central Oklahoma currently leads the tournament with a 36-hole total of 572 (+4).
The Mules were led by senior Calvin Dillon (69) who posted a second round 74 (+3) to sit in a tie for eighth with a 36-hole total of 143 (-1).
Sophomore CJ Phillips (72) posted a second round 76 (+5) to sit in a tie for 37th with a 36-hole total of 148 (+6), junior Jack Hope (72) posted a second round 79 (+8) to sit in a tie for 68th with a 36-hole total of 151 (+9), freshman Lawson Barks (77) posted a second round 75 (+4) to sit in a tie for 75th with a 36-hole total of 152 (+10), and junior Andrew Whittaker who was substituted in for the mules shot an 18-hole round 76 (+5) to round out the mules scoring.
The Mules will play the final round of the three-day event Saturday, May 10.
