Mules Golf's Phillips Earns PING Division II All-Central Region Honors

NORMAN, Okla. – University of Central Missouri Mules Golf's CJ Phillips has been named to the 2026 PING Division II All-Central Region Team, the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced Tuesday, May 19.

Phillips becomes the 13th Mules golfer since 2010 to earn PING Division II All-Region accolades and the first since Thomas Henson and Nick Westrich in 2022.

A junior from Edmond, Okla., Phillips has a 72.22 stroke average over 32 rounds this season. He's compiled a team-best three tournament victories, along with five top-five performances and eight top-10 finishes. He captured the 2026 NCAA Division II Midwest/Central Regional individual championship after posting a three-round score of 5-under par 211, and also finished first at The Tulsa Cup and Missouri Western State University Holiday Inn Express Classic in October.

Phillips ranks second in career scoring average at Central Missouri at 72.76 in 82 career rounds (2023-26).

He earned All-MIAA Men's Golf honors earlier this season.

The Mules are currently competing in the NCAA-II Men's Golf Championship in Boulder City, Nevada, at Boulder Creek Golf Club.
