Boulder Creek, Nev. – The University of Central Missouri Men's Golf team heads to Boulder Creek, Nev., for the 2026 NCAA-II Men's Golf Championship starting Monday, May 18th at the Boulder Creek Golf Course. This is the 16th time the Mules have qualified for a National Championship.
The NCAA-II Men's Golf Championship format starts with a 54-hole stroke play competition May 18-20, then the top eight teams qualify for match play May 21-22 to determine a national champion.
The Mules are coming off a great Central/Midwest Regional, where they took third place, and Phillips took the individual title, going 5-under par.
The lineup is
CJ Phillips,
Lawson Barks,
Brooks Baldwin,
Kale Flinton and
Andrew Whittaker.
Jack Hope will be a substitute for the Mules.
Phillips has also been a consistent low scorer for the Mules, averaging 72.76 over 32 rounds. Phillips also has eight top-five finishes and won the MWSU Holiday Inn Express Classic, the Tulsa Cup and the NCAA Midwest/Central Regional individual title.
Brooks Baldwin tied for 10th at the Super Regional to make his third top-10th finish this spring. The senior 74.02 over 24 rounds.
Flinton finished tied in 43rd in the Regional; he went 8-over par. The freshman has two top-10 finishes and has an average of 73.79 over 29 rounds. Sophomore
Lawson Barks has been a mainstay in the roster for the Mules, compiling a 75.19 average over 26 rounds and a top-10 finish.
Rounding out the lineup are Seniors
Andrew Whittaker and
Jack Hope. Whittaker holds a 76.42 average over 14 rounds and Hope has an average of 76.39 over 23 rounds.
The Mules will begin stroke play on Monday, May 18th, at 2:16 p.m. (CT)
