Mules Tied in 13th at Day Two of NCAA Championships

BOULDER CITY, Nev.  – The University of Central Missouri Mules golf team is tied in 13th after the second round of stroke play Tuesday, May 19, at Boulder Creek Golf Club. The Mules shot a 5-over par 581 (287, 294) in the NCAA Championships. 

CJ Phillips leads the Mules, tied in 39, making par after two rounds. Phillips went 1-over this round with five birdies to total 144 (71, 73). Tied in 51st is Lawson Barks, carding a 145 (72,73) to be 1-over. Barks made par on the back nine and went 1-over par on the front nine. 

Brooks Baldwin is tied at 59th after shooting a 73 in both rounds for a 146. Baldwin had an eagle on hole two and four birdies to card a 1-under par on the front nine. Senior Andrew Whittaker shot a 75 in both rounds for a 150 (+6) and tied in 78.

Freshman Kale Flinton went 8-over for a 152 (71, 81) for a tie in 88th. 

The Mules will tee off for the final round of stroke play on Wednesday, May 20th, at 11:20 a.m. (CT).
