GREENSBORO, N.C. -- University of Central Missouri Mules Baseball's
Jacob Steele earned his third All-America accolade of the 2025 season on Friday, May 30, as he was named an American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Rawlings Division II Second Team All-American third baseman.Â
A senior from St. Peter's, Mo., Steele, the 2025 MIAA Co-Player of the Year, leads the Mules with a .389 batting average in 53 games this season. He has compiled a team-best 86 hits to go along with 70 runs, 15 doubles, three triples, 13 homers, 62 RBI, a .661 slugging percentage, 36 walks, a .483 on-base percentage and 11 stolen bases. Steele has 25 multi-hit games this season, including nine games with at least three hits. Defensively, Steele has committed just two errors in 169 chances for a .988 fielding percentage and tallied 101 assists and 66 putouts.
Steele earned Third Team All-American honors for both the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) and the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA).Â
The Mules are the number two seed in the 2025 NCAA-II College World Series and are scheduled to face the seventh-seeded Northwood (Mich.) Timberwolves in game one on Friday, May 30, at 2:30 p.m. CT (3:30 p.m. ET) at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, N.C.
The ABCA/Rawlings All-America teams are selected by members of the ABCA All-America committees.Â
ABCA/Rawlings All-Region First Team selections, which were announced Wednesday, were eligible for All-America honors.
The Chair of the ABCA NCAA Div. II All-America & Coach of the Year Committee is Rudy Garbalosa of Lynn University. Also on the committee are Jim Gantt (Catawba College), Rick Giannetti (Dominican College), Dave Hajek (University of Colorado at Colorado Springs), Ryan Kelley (Wayne State University), Alex Koch (Wayne State College) and Marc Marizzaldi (Seton Hill University) and Tony Schifano (San Francisco State University).
The ABCA All-America team was first recognized in 1949 and now includes nine divisions: NCAA Divisions I, II and III, NAIA, NJCAA Divisions I, II and III, Pacific Association Division, and high school.Â
