JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- Central Missouri Mules Golf sits runner-up after the first two rounds of the MIAA Golf Championships at Jefferson City CC Tuesday, April 22. The Mules started their day with a first round 18-hole total of 293 and tied their team-lowest 18-hole total in the second round with a five-under par 283 to finish with a 36-hole total of 576 (Even-par). Central Oklahoma currently leads the tournament with a 36-hole total of 573 (-3).
The Mules were led by senior
Alex Gentry who posted a first round 77 (+5) and a second round 66 (-6) to sit in a tie for seventh with a 36-hole total of 143 (-1).
Tied for 11th is sophomore
CJ Phillips (72,72) and freshman
Lawson Barks (70,74) with a 36-hole total of 144 (Even-par), senior
Calvin Dillon (75,71) sits in a tie for 18th with a 36-hole total of 146 (+2), and junior
Jack Hope (76,78) is tied for 51st with a 36-hole total of 154 (+10) to round out the Mules scoring.
Junior
Andrew Whittaker (70,76) is competing as an individual and currently sits in a tie for 18th with a 36-hole total of 146 (+2).
The Mules will play the final round of the two-day event Wednesday, April 23.
