BOLIVAR, Mo. -- Kristen Jones finished second in the women's heptathlon at the Southwest Baptist Bearcat Invitational for UCM track & field on Friday, March 28.
Jones finished runner-up in both the high jump (personal-best 1.55m/5-01.00) and 200m dash (25.88), was third in the 100m hurdles (personal-best 15.80), and sixth in the shot put (8.82m/28-11.25) in the opening four events on Thursday before winning the long jump (personal-best 5.58m/18-03.74) and javelin (personal-best 41.24m/135-4), and finishing fourth in the 800m run (2:40.83) on Friday for a personal-best and NCAA-II provisional point total of 4,654 points.
Jones and the Mules & Jennies are scheduled to continue competition in the SBU Bearcat Invitational on Saturday, March 29, in Bolivar, Mo.
