DES MOINES, Iowa – For the second time in two weeks, Central Missouri Jennies track & field's
Madi Wulfekotter set a new pole vault school record, highlighting UCM track & field at the Drake Relays Friday, April 28, at Drake Stadium.
Pole Vault
- A redshirt senior from Odessa, Mo., Wulfekotter cleared a provisional 4.31m (14-1.75) on her third attempt to break her own school record for the second time in two weeks, as she cleared a then record height of 4.27m (14-0.00) at the Outdoor Mule Relays April 14. Wulfekotter's mark is the best in NCAA Division II this season and is tied for eighth-best in Division II history.
Relays
- The Jennies 4x400m relay of Jana Shawver, Katie Bean, Kayla Goodwin and Brooklynn Holtman posted a provisional time of 3:49.57, finishing third in the prelims to qualify for Saturday's final.
- The Jennies 4x100m relay of Camryn Holloman, Holtman, Claire Luallen and Lenetta Lee qualified for Saturday's final after finishing fifth in the prelims with a time of 46.90. That time is fifth-fastest in school history.
- The Mules 4x100m relay of Ariel Kerr, Cameron Hesker, Brockton McLaughlin and Antonio Lay posted a provisional time of 40.22 to place second in the prelims and move on to Saturday's final.
- The Mules sprint medley relay of Michael James, McLaughlin, Brayden Blackman and Brian Mitei finished forth after posting a time of 3:26.13.
- The Jennies sprint medley relay of Lee, Holtman, Goodwin and Shawver ran 4:03.42, placing fifth in the event.
Jumps
- Claire Luallen finished sixth in the women's long jump with a mark of 5.72m (18-9.25).
UCM track & field is scheduled to wrap up the Drake Relays Saturday, April 29. Several UCM throwers will also compete in the ZK Invite at Baker University in Baldwin City, Kan., Saturday.
