DES MOINES, Iowa -- The Jennies 4x800m relay finished first at the Drake Relays to highlight UCM track & field action in Iowa Thursday, April 27.

Relays

• The Jennies 4x800m relay of Katie Bean, Emily Sporleder, Kayla Goodwin and Jana Shawver won the event at the Drake Relays after posting a time of 9:01.46. That time is fifth-fastest in NCAA Division II history. 

Distance

• The Mules sent a trio of distance runners to compete in the Kip Janvrin Open in Indianola, Iowa, Thursday. In the men's 1,500m run, Brian Mitei finished fourth after running a personal-best 3:53.36. His time ranks 10th-best in school history. In the men's 3,000m steeplechase, Paul Korir finished 10th with a time of 9:14.11 while Bryan O'Barr ran a personal-best 9:31.87, placing 22nd.

The Mules and Jennies are scheduled to continue action in the Drake Relays Friday, April 28, in Des Moines.
