PITTSBURG, Kan. – University of Central Missouri Mules and Jennies track & field wrapped up the second and final day of the eighth-annual Pittsburg State Indoor Gorilla Classic Saturday, Feb. 11, inside the Robert W. Plaster Center.
UCM is scheduled to return to action Friday, Feb. 17, at the Arkansas Qualifier and Northwest Missouri Invitational.
Pole Vault
- Madi Wulfekotter won the women's pole vault invitational division, clearing a provisional height of 4.03m (13-02.50). That mark is tied for fifth highest in NCAA Division II in 2023.
- Reagan Ulrich finished third and Jack Hodge was fifth, leading the Mules in the men's pole vault invitational division. Ulrich compiled a provisional height of 5.22m (17-01.50) while Hodge posted a provisional height of 5.02m (16-05.50). Ulrich's mark is fifth-best in NCAA-II this season while Hodge's mark is ninth best.
Jumps
- Cadman Evans finished runner-up in the men's high jump invitational division, clearing a personal-best and provisional height of 2.20m (7-02.50). His mark ranks second-best in school history and third-best in NCAA Division II this season.
- Camryn Holloman placed third in the women's triple jump with a provisional mark of 11.89m (39-00.25).
Sprints/Hurdles
- The Jennies had two student-athletes finish in the top-10 in the women's 800m run, as Jana Shawver placed sixth with a provisional time of 2:11.82 and Katie Bean was ninth with a provisional and personal-best 2:13.87.
Relays
- In the men's 4x400m relay, the Mules' relay team of Trey Miller, Kye Mason, Antonio Lay and Michael James finished fourth with a provisional time of 3:13.47. That time is 10th-fastest in NCAA-II this season.
- The Jennies' 4x400m relay team of Hope Thiel, Kayla Goodwin, Shawver and Brooklynn Holtman took sixth with a provisional time of 3:50.34.
