HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – For the first time since 2018-19, Central Missouri Jennies golf is NCAA Division II Championship bound. The No. 23-ranked Jennies fired a final round 17-over par 305 to finish second out of nine teams at the NCAA-II Central Regional Wednesday, May 4, at Hot Springs Country Club.
The Jennies, along with Central Region Champion Henderson State and third-place finisher Rogers State will represent the region at the NCAA-II Women's Golf Championship May 10-14 at Chattahoochee Golf Club in Gainesville, Ga.
Central Missouri finished the three-day, 54-hole tournament with a team tally of 42-over par 906 (306-295-305). Host Henderson State ran away with the team title, posting a three-round, 18-over par 882 (301-288-293), while Rogers State was third at 49-over par 913 (296-310-307).
Redshirt junior
Rosie Klausner paced the Jennies on the individual leaderboard, finishing tied for second in a field of 51 golfers with a career-best-tying 54-hole, 3-over par 219 (74-72-73). Fellow redshirt junior
Hayley Jones also finished in the top-15 for the tournament, tying for 14th at 12-over par 228 (76-74-78).
Sophomore
Claire Solovic tied for 17th with a three-round, 13-over par 229 (79-72-78), freshman
Nicole Rallo tied for 19th at 14-over par 230 (77-77-76), and redshirt junior
Molly Saporito finished 34th at 23-over par 239 (82-79-78), rounding out the UCM scoring.
Henderson State's Gracen Blount captured individual medalist honors after firing a three-round, 1-over par 217 (73-68-76) for the tournament.
