Scene Setter

Central Missouri Jennies softball (16-33, 7-15 MIAA) will wrap up its 2022 regular season with MIAA doubleheaders against Northwest Missouri State (12-35, 6-16 MIAA) and Missouri Western (23-20, 11-9 MIAA) Saturday, April 30, and Sunday, May 1, at Jennies Field at the South Recreation Complex in Warrensburg. Saturday's DH vs. the Bearcats is slated for a 1 p.m. first pitch while Saturday's twin bill against the Griffons is scheduled for a noon start time. Sunday's game will also be Senior Day, and the Jennies will honor their lone senior, Gentry Wishard, in a ceremony.
The Jennies are coming off a non-conference split against the William Jewell Cardinals Tuesday, April 26, winning game one 8-0 in five innings, and falling, 8-7, in game two.

Series History

Northwest Missouri: Central Missouri and Northwest Missouri will meet for the 40th time in the all-time series Friday. The series is tied, 20-20. UCM went 2-0 vs. the Bearcats in 2021, winning both games in Maryville, Mo., 5-2 and 13-3.
Missouri Western: UCM and MWSU will meet for the 95th time in the all-time series Saturday. UCM leads the series 62-32. Last season, the Jennies went 2-0 against the Griffons, winning in St. Joseph., 7-2 and 2-1.

Susan Anderson is in her 16th season as the head coach for the Jennies softball program. She has a record of 470-350 (.563) in her 16 seasons in Warrensburg and a career record of 650-510 (.538) in 24 seasons.
