INDIANAPOLIS -- No. 23-ranked Central Missouri Jennies golf will continue its 2021-22 season after earning an at-large berth to the NCAA-II Central Regional Championship May 2-4 at Hot Springs Country Club in Hot Springs, Ark.

Central Missouri along with teams from the rest of the MIAA, Northern Sun and Great American Conference make up the Central Region. Nine teams from the three conferences along with six individuals will compete at the regional championship.

The Jennies are one of five MIAA teams to qualify for the regional. Nebraska Kearney earned the conference's automatic bid after winning the MIAA Women's Golf Championship while Rogers State, UCM, Central Oklahoma and Northeastern State all received at-large berths.

Central Missouri has competed in six events this spring, finishing in the top-five in all six contests, including winning the Midwest Intercollegiate March 21-22 in Bolivar, Mo., and finishing runner-up at the 2022 MIAA Women's Golf Championship April 21-23 in Newton, Kan.

All participants will compete through the 54 holes competition. The top three (central) and five (east, south and west) teams along with the top two individuals not on an advancing team will advance to the championships.

The championship will be held May 10-14 at Chattahoochee Golf Club in Gainesville, Georgia. The number of participants that qualify for the finals is 98.
