DESTIN, Fla. -- No. 24-ranked Central Missouri Jennies golf had to settle for a fifth place finish after rain forced the cancellation of the final round of the Emerald Coast Classic Tuesday, March 15, at the Baytowne Golf Club.
The cancellation meant UCM's 36-hole team score of 31-over par 599 (303-296) from Monday became the final, official score.
Nova Southeastern captured the team title at the event with a two-round, 12-over par 580 (290-290) while Anderson University (S.C.) and Henderson State finised in a tie for second at 21-over par 589.
Rosie Klausner led the Jennies individually, posting a 36-hole tally of 5-over par 147 (73-74) to finish in a tie for eighth while
Molly Saporito also posted a top-10 finish, tying for 10th at 6-over par 148 (74-74).
Claire Solovic tied for 35th at 11-over par 153 (78-75),
Hayley Jones tied for 50th at 14-over par 156 (83-73), and
Nicole Rallo tied for 69th at 19-over par 161 (78-83), wrapping up the UCM scoring.
Lee University's Alex Naumovski earned individual medalist accolades after firing a 3-under par 139 (73-66).
Central Missouri is scheduled to return ot action March 21-22 at the Midwest Intercollegiate at Silo Ridge Golf Club in Bolivar, Mo.
