CABOT, Ark. – No. 23-ranked Central Missouri Jennies golf posted a final-round, 16-over par 304 to finish second at the Natural State Golf Classic Tuesday, March 1, at the Cypress Creek Golf Club.
The Jennies tallied a 36-hole team tally of 34-over par 610 (306-304), finishing just eight strokes back of team champion and 14th-ranked Rogers State, which compiled a 26-over par 602 (301-301). Arkansas Tech rounded out the top-three in third with a 48-over par 624 (312-312).
Claire Solovic finished fourth out of a field of 81 golfers at 6-over par 150 (75-75) while
Hayley Jones also compiled a top-10 finish, tying for ninth at 10-over par 154 (75-79), leading the Jennies individually.
Rosie Klausner moved up 12 spots Tuesday and finished tied for 13th at 11-over par 155 (79-76),
Nicole Rallo jumped up 27 spots on the leaderboard, finishing tied for 16th at 12-over par 156 (82-74), and
McKenna Rice tied for 31st at 16-over par 160 (77-83), rounding out the UCM scoring.
Linn Thompson, who played as an individual from Missouri-St. Louis, earned individual medalist honors with a 1-over par 145 (72-73).
The Jennies are slated to return to action March 13-15 at the Emerald Coast Collegiate Classic in Destin, Fla., at Baytown Golf Club.
