Box Score JOPLIN, Mo. (March, 25, 2021) - Central Missouri Volleyball came out on top in another tight match Thursday night. The Jennies were down early, but won in five over Missouri Southern, 3-2 (22-25, 25-18, 25-19, 22-25, 15-13).

The win is the Jennies fourth in a row and they move to 8-1 with the loss separating two four-game winning streaks.

Central Missouri hit .236 for the match with 68 kills and 92 digs. The Lions scored 53 kills and hit .139. Serving is what helped them out most. They landed eight aces with five errors while the Jennies committed 11 service errors to just four aces. 

Missouri Southern got the first set of the night, 25-22. The Jennies were able to rebound winning sets two and three 25-18, 25-19. Central Missouri couldn't put the match away though as the Lions forced a fifth set with another 25-22 win in set four. Set five went back and forth, but a late spurt put the Jennies up 13-10 and they went on to win 15-13. 

Three Jennies were in double-figures kills. Hannah Engelken led the team with 19 and hit .333. Kersti Nix added 18 kills and 11 digs and Audrey Fisher hit .432 with 17 kills. Ally Offerdahl passed out 57 assists and had 15 assists. Jackie Storm scooped up 26 digs.

The Jennies are back in action this weekend. They have two matches in Topeka, Kan. against Northwest Missouri at 12 p.m. and Nebraska-Kearney at 2:30 p.m.
