WARRENSBURG, Mo. – The No. 22-ranked University of Central Missouri Jennies golf team sits on top of the leaderboard through 18 holes at the Midwest Classic, firing a program-record, 18-hole team score of 286, Monday, Oct. 18, at Mules National Golf Club.
The Jennies 6-over par 286 bests their previous 18-hole low round of 289, set earlier this season and places them 18 strokes ahead of second-place Nebraska Kearney, which tallied an opening round, 24-over par 304. Central Missouri's second team rounds out the top-three, posting a 26-over par 306 for third place on the leaderboard.
UCM has seven players in the top-25 through one round at Mules National Golf Club, led by
Rosie Klausner, who sits atop the individual leaderboard at even-par 70, while
Claire Solovic is second at 1-over par 71, and
Nicole Rallo is in third with an 18-hole, 2-over par 72.
Kiki Bruner and
Molly Saporito are tied for fourth at 3-over par 73,
McKenna Rice is tied for 14th at 6-over par 76,
Brinkley Beever is tied for 25th at 8-over par 78,
Macie Myers is tied for 32nd at 9-over par 79,
Hayley Jones is tied for 46th at 11-over par 81, and
Isabella Hadden is tied for tied for 65th at 15-over par 85, rounding out the UCM scoring.
The Jennies are slated to tee-off in the second and final round of the tournament at 8:48 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19.
