WARRENSBURG, MO. (April 26, 2018) - Central Missouri Track and Field was spread out across the midwest this weekend, competing in two different meets.
Drake Relays - Des Moines, IA
Distance
Cynthia Togom kicked the meet off for UCM, as she competed in the 5000m run Thursday. Togom finished sixth overall with a new personal best time of 16:43.34.
Relays
The Mules relay team of
Kyzer Ramey,
Andre Williams,
Blake Johnson, and
Akeemo Minott to competed in the 4x100m relay but unfortunately were disqualified.
For the Jennies, the unit of
Jyl Stewart,
Grace Wormek,
Destiney Nash, and
Kacey Kohlhof finished the 4x100m in 47.85 just missing the finals placing ninth overall.
In the sprint medley relay, both Mules and Jennies teams finished third overall. The team of
Kacey Kohlhof,
Destiney Nash,
Emily Thole, and
Mariah Elmore finished third crossing the line at 4:03.62. For the Mules,
Trey Miller,
Andre Williams, Chirs Donald, and
Derek Nugent crossed the line at 3:28.36 for third place.
The Jennies 4x400m quartet consisted of
Alexandria Foote',
Emily Thole,
Mariah Elmore, and
Destiney Nash. They completed the relay in 3:48.08 and placed sixth. They'll run in the finals tomorrow afternoon.
For the Mules, the squad of
Trey Miller,
Matt Scaletty,
Jacob Weber, and
Blake Johnson finished 12th in the 4x400m relay with the time of 3:14.11.

The Jennies 4x400m relay team of
Alexandria Foote',
Emily Thole,
Mariah Elmore, and
Destiney Nash competed in the finals today. The squad crossed the line in 3:56.98 to place fifth among two other MIAA opponents.

Throws
For the Mules,
Nathan Cummings had a strong day hitting two provisional qualifying marks in the shot put and discus throw. In the shot, Cummings finished fourth with a toss of 54-08.00. He came back stronger in the discus throw where he placed second with his toss of 170-02.
Nathan Liby took the crown once again in the hammer throw. Liby took first with the provisional mark of 211-05.
Nathan Cummings finished the day in sixth in the event after his throw of 183-07.
For the Jennies,
Ashlan Burton was the top finisher in the shot put and discus throw, finishing fourth in both events. Burton placed fourth with the throw of 47-01.00 and finished the discus throw in fourth after her toss of 151-00.
In the hammer throw,
Baylie Bellin placed fifth leading the Jennies with her throw of 163-03.
Rachel Schultz was right behind her throwing 159-09, to place seventh.

Warrensburg will be quite busy next weekend, as the Mules and Jennies host the MIAA Outdoor Championships May 3-5 at Walton Stadium/ Kennedy Field.
