KANSAS CITY, Mo. (April 20, 2016) -- Elizabeth Leath finished a program-best second individually at the MIAA Championships to help lead Jennies Golf to a fifth place team finish. The Jens finished +138 for the tournament and Leath was +14 en route to her runner-up finish.
Leath fired a final round 78 to finish with a 230 for the championship. She was runner-up to Baylee Price of Northeastern State, who finished the 54-hole tournament at three-over par.
Jordan Rehkow finished in 20th place for UCM with a 35-over par, 251.
Taelyn Entriken was five shots back of Rehkow and finished in 23rd place.
Kelly Welker moved up to a 34th place finish with a 265.
Maranda Smith finished in 36th place with a 272.
Northeastern State captured the MIAA Team Championship with a three-round total of 58-over par, a 20-shot win over second place Central Oklahoma.
The Jennies will now await their postseason fate. The NCAA Regional selections will be announced on April 25 on NCAA.com.
