Final Results
Jefferson City, Mo. -- Both of the Central Missouri Track and Field teams placed in the top three at the MIAA Championship. The Jennies were second with 104.5 points, and the Mules were third at 108 points. The team finished the meet with 18 All-MIAA athletes, picking up several provisional marks along the way.
Heavin Warner broke the meet record for hammer throw, winning the event at 199' 7'', and was fourth in shot put with a provisional mark at 45' 9.75''.
Madison Smith had a provisional mark in the 100m hurdles, and finished the event in fourth place (14.24). She was seventh in the high jump (5' 6''). Erin Alewine placed fourth in the high jump (5' 7.25''). Nikki Douglas had an automatic qualifying time in the 400m dash at 59.22. She also had a provisional in the 100m hurdles, finishing fifth in 14.32. Megan Glamann was third in the 5000m run, with a time of 18:23.86.
Devin Claypool had an automatic qualifying mark, winning the high jump at 7' 1.5''. George Charalambous tied for second place in the high jump (6' 9.75''). Meelis Siimson was second in the triple jump with a provisional mark at 50' 4''. Levi Hughart and Jacob Prindle finished the hammer throw at seventh (163' 6'') and eighth (161' 6'') place, respectively. Jacob Mahin was fifth in the shot put at 51' 10''. Cole Phillips was second in the pole vault with a provisional mark at 16' 8''.
The Mules had three athletes place in the 800m run. Kellin Loch was second with a provisional mark at 1:50.94. Cole Davis was fourth (1:52.64) and Ross Lorber was fifth (1:53.29). Austin Gott took eighth in the 1500m run (4:06.24), and Osvaldo Granillo was sixth in the 400m dash (48.00).
The 4x100 relay team of Marquis Jones, Kendall Preston, Chase McCoy, and Granillo were third at 41.22. The men's 4x400 team of Jones, Davis, Ross Lorber, and Granillo also finished third with a provisional mark at 3:12.68.
The women's 4x100 relay was fifth at 47.77, with a team of Douglas, Jessica Fennewald, Kailey Fuchs, and Smith. The 4x400 team of Smith, Fuchs, Douglas, and Alewine was sixth at 3:49.92.
The team will compete in Emporia, Kan. at the ESU Qualifier Saturday, starting at 1 p.m. The NCAA Outdoor Championships are May 22-24 in Allendale, Mich.
