EUGENE, Ore. – University of Central Missouri Jennies Track & Field All-American javelin thrower
Addison Throckmorton earned a silver medal at the 2025 United States Track & Field U20 Championships on Thursday, June 19, at Hayward Field on the University of Oregon campus.
Throckmorton, who just completed her freshman season at UCM in 2024-25, posted a mark of 45.65m (149-09) to place second in a field that features some of the top javelin throwers in the United States.
"It's been an incredible freshman year for Addison, and what better way to end it than getting second place at the USATF U20 Championships," UCM Track & Field head coach Kevin Paterson said. "This meet is filled with the top up-and-coming talent in America, and is a stepping stone to the USA Championships, Olympic Trials, and the Olympics. I couldn't be more excited to see what the future has in store for Addison."
A native of Columbia, Mo., Throckmorton earned First Team All-America honors in the javelin after finishing fourth at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Championships in Pueblo, Colo., on May 24. In addition, she captured the MIAA Javelin Conference Championship at the MIAA Outdoor Championships on May 4 and set a new school record with a mark of 52.04m (170-9).
