STORY LINES
• The 19th-ranked Central Missouri Mules wrap up their three-game road trip at Missouri Western on Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. This will be the second meeting of the season between these two schools.
• The Mules are coming off an 85-67 win at Southwest Baptist on Saturday afternoon. The win moved UCM within a game of clinching a top two seed in the MIAA Tournament and kept them a game out of first place with two regular season games left.
• The Griffons are coming off a 92-60 loss to Northwest Missouri on Saturday at home.
• Entering the game the Mules sit alone in second place in the MIAA standings, a game ahead of third place Missouri Southern and one game behind first place Northwest Missouri with two regular season games left.

QUICK HITS
• This is the 109th season of Central Missouri Mules basketball.
• Central Missouri is third all-time in NCAA Division II men's basketball with 1,607 wins.
• In the Mules' 22 wins this season they are averaging 83.0 points per game and shooting 52 percent from the field. They are limiting opponents to 41 percent shooting and 65.6 points per game.
• In the Mules' four losses they are averaging 73.5 points per game and shooting 42 percent from the field.
• The win over Southwest Baptist on Feb. 6 gave UCM 18 wins on the season. It marks the 11th straight season of at least 18 wins for the Mules, which ties the MIAA record for the longest streak in conference history. The Mules tied Northwest Missouri, which accomplished the feat from 1997-2008.
• The Mules were 22-8 a season ago, the sixth 20-win season under Kim Anderson and the 22nd in school history.
• Central Missouri finished 13-5 in MIAA play last year and captured a share of the MIAA regular season championship for the second straight season. It was the fifth conference crown under Anderson and 23rd in school history.
• Three of the top nine single-season scoring leaders in UCM history have come during the 11-year tenure of head coach Kim Anderson.

SERIES HISTORY VS MISSOURI WESTERN
• This will be the 58th all-time meeting between Central Missouri and Missouri Western. The Mules lead the series 30-27, including a 19-6 edge during the Kim Anderson era.
• The Mules won the previous meeting this season, 81-63, back on Jan. 15 in Warrensburg, and have won four straight games in the series.
• UCM is 14-13 against Southwest Baptist in Bolivar, including a 7-4 mark under Anderson.
• The Griffons have won two of the last three games in St. Joseph.

LAST MEETING WITH MISSOURI WESTERN
• The Mules used a big second half run to pull away from Missouri Western in an 81-63 win back on Jan. 15. UCM never trailed in the game.
• The Mules shot 46 percent from field and 33 percent from three-point range. MWSU was 44 percent from the floor and 44 percent from beyond the arc.
• Central Missouri out-rebounded Missouri Western 42-26 and held a distinct 38-18 advantage in points in the paint.
• The Mules forced 12 Griffon turnovers and turned those into 14 points, while the Mule bench chipped in 27 points.
• Dillon Deck led UCM with a double-double of 20 points and a season-high 12 rebounds. Charles Hammork also scored 20 points the the Mules as four players finished in double figures.
• Ryan Magdziarz chipped in 17 points off the bench on 6 of 8 shooting.

SCOUTING THE GRIFFONS
• Missouri Western enters the final week of the regular season at 10-15 overall and 5-12 in MIAA play after falling to Northwest Missouri 92-60 on Saturday afternoon in St. Joseph.
• The Griffons have lost five of their last six games, including three straight at home.
• MWSU is averaging 75.8 points per game offensively, while shooting 44 percent from the field. Opponents are shooting 49 percent against them and average 80.2 points per contest.
• The Griffons shoot 35 percent from behind the three-point line and 71 percent at the free throw line.
• They have been out-rebounded by over six boards per contest (37.6-31.2) by the opposition.
• Ryan Devers leads the team in scoring at 16.8 points per game, he is averaging 18.1 per outing during MIAA play. He also leads all active players in rebounding with 4.5 boards per contest.
• Cortez Colbert is second on the team at 13.8 points per game.
• The Griffons turn the ball over just 9.3 times per game and force 11.6 per outing..

LAST TIME OUT • CENTRAL MISSOURI 85, SOUTHWEST BAPTIST 67 • 2/22/14
BOLIVAR, Mo. -- The 24th-ranked Mules basketball team ran their winning streak to eight with an 85-67 win at Southwest Baptist on Saturday afternoon. The Mules held the Bearcats to 39 percent shooting and 18 points below their season average.
    The Mules (22-4, 14-3 MIAA) fell behind by three points in the early going before rallying to tie the game at 13-all. The Mules trailed 18-17, but a 12-0 run gave the Mules a 29-18 lead they would never relinquish.
    The Bearcats (13-13, 6-11 MIAA) got back to within six late in the first half, but UCM went on a 10-5 spurt before leading 48-39 at the intermission.
    Both teams came out cold to start the second half. The Mules didn't score their first points of the half until the 17:13 mark when Jon Gilliam hit a three to give UCM a 51-41 lead.
    The Bearcats got back to within five at 61-56 with 9:15 to play in the game, but an 8-0 run by the Mules pushed the lead back to 13. A 14-3 later in the half gave the Mules a 22-point lead with just under two minutes to play and put the game away.
    Daylen Robinson led UCM with 16 points and eight assists, he was a perfect 8-of-8 at the foul line. With his eight assists, Robinson moved into ninth place on Central Missouri's single-season assist list with 143.
    Dillon Deck chipped in 14 points and Charles Hammork had 13 for the Mules. All 11 Mules who saw action in the game scored.
    UCM was 32 of 56 from the field for 57 percent. The Mules were 4 of 14 from three-point range for 29 percent and 17 of 22 at the free throw line for 77 percent. UCM had 17 assists to just 10 turnovers in the game.
    Rashad Brown-Peterson led SBU with 12 points as the Bearcats went 21 of 53 from the field for 39 percent. They were just 5 of 25 from beyond the arc for 20 percent and made 20 of 32 at the charity stripe for 63 percent.
    The Mules forced 17 SBU turnovers and turned those into 24 points. UCM also held a 42-22 advantage in points in the paint.

THE MULES IN MIAA PLAY
• Central Missouri is 157-66 in MIAA play during the Kim Anderson era and 14-3 this season after the 85-67 win at Southwest Baptist on Saturday.
• The Mules were 13-5 in conference play last year and won a share of the MIAA regular season title for the second straight season.
• The Mules' best MIAA record under Anderson was an 18-2 mark during the 2009-10 season.

THE MULES AT HOME
• Central Missouri is 153-21 at the Multipurpose Building under Kim Anderson after beating Lincoln at home on Wednesday night.
• The Mules were 13-0 at home last season and have won 26 straight games at the Multi dating back to the 2011-12 season.
• Over the last nine years, UCM is 136-11 at home, including 53-1 against non-conference opponents and 83-10 in MIAA play.
• The Mules are 464-88 in their 38th season playing home games at the Multi.

THE MULES ON THE ROAD
• The Mules are 7-4 on the road this season, including 6-3 in MIAA play, after the win at Southwest Baptist on Saturday afternoon.

• Senior guard Daylen Robinson moved into a tie for ninth place on UCM's single-season assist list with 143, when he dished out eight assists in the win at Southwest Baptist. He is two assists shy of eighth place on the single-season list and 10 shy of sixth place.
• He is fourth in the MIAA in assists per game at 5.5

SWATTING HIS WAY
• Junior forward Dillon Deck has registered 25 blocks this year. He is four blocks away from cracking UCM's top 10 single-season list.

A UCM WIN WOULD...
• Give the Mules a 23-4 overall record and a 15-3 mark in MIAA play and secure a top two seed for the MIAA Tournament.
• Would keep the Mules within one game of league-leading Northwest Missouri heading into their showdown in the regular season finale on Saturday afternoon.

• With the win over Lindenwood on Feb. 22, the Mules clinched a bye to the MIAA Tournament Quarterfinals in Kansas City.
• Central Missouri has made the MIAA Tournament every year since it's inception, the only school to do so.
• The Mules are 32-27 all-time in the MIAA Tournament and 14-7 under Kim Anderson after going 3-0 and winning the tournament championship last season.
• This year's tournament will begin on Tuesday, March 4 with seeds No. 5-12 playing play-in games at the higher seeded school. The winners of those four games will advance to play at Kansas City's Municipal Auditorium March 7-9 along with the top four teams in the league, who all receive byes to Kansas City. Men's quarterfinal action will tip-off on Friday, March 7.

ANDERSON LEADING THE WAY
• Now in his 12th season leading the Mules, Central Missouri head coach Kim Anderson has compiled a career record of 266-94 (.739).
• His .731 winning percentage entering the 2013-14 season ranks seventh among all active NCAA Division II coaches.
• He has led UCM to five MIAA regular season titles, more than any other coach in school history, four MIAA tournament championships, two Regional championships and two Final Four appearances.
• Anderson recorded career win No. 200 with a 65-61 win against Washburn on February 9, 2011.
